Funkytown Furballs is the dream of my 8 year old daughter, Carolyn. She is wonderful with animals. She is in the process of building her own rabbitry - Funkytown Furballs. She wants to show French Angoras, develop her own breeding program, and include their wool in hat, scarf, and other creations she designs.

Rabbits have arrived!
Carolyn's long wait for rabbits is finally over. We drove to Easton, MD last Saturday to meet Pamela Barnes (Two Oaks Farm) who was there showing some of her French Angoras. She had brought along the two rabbits she had carefully selected for Carolyn to start her rabbitry with - a torte buck and a rew doe. These babies were 4 months old, but wow do they look large! Their junior coat is about 3 inches.

I was so proud of Carolyn. She saved her hard earned allowance money to buy one of the rabbits and one of the cages. She proudly counted out her money to Pam that day. She learned the lesson - some things in life are worth saving for.
